carry class

I had a wonderful time of food, fellowship, and learning with some good people in Fairveiw, nc saturday just past. One fellow called me, and asked if i could come to the community center and teach a ccw class. I said sure, especially if the group would cook breakfast and lunch. My wife gets tired of doing cookong, cleaning and paperwork. Especially after the long hard days she puts in at the end of the school year.

New blog

Hey Matt,

The new site

I think this new site might be just what's needed to spruce things up a bit. I checked out Firearm Ads, looks good Matt. Maybe all that sleep deprivation will add up to something. Now, just need some items to list. Wouldn't hurt to have an IMSHA blog or two.
Got any fancy graphics coming?

My first deer rifle

My first deer rifle By Big Easy 1-28-09

No serious hunter ever forgets his first deer rifle, or the memories that go with it. If he is lucky, he still has that rifle, to be passed down to a deserving youngster, to carry on the tradition. No big rush though, but when the time is right…

I still have mine, and cherish it for all the traditional reasons. A hard lesson in gun safety and economics came along as a bonus.

concealed carry

I know that Greybeard is not a dedicated concealed carry site, nor is it even a dedicated pistol site, but a lot of the real dedicated sites are kind of militant, let's all go blow up the government, quit paying our taxes, and why can't i have a machine gun kind of places. I feel really at home at Greybeard. just a good bunch of folks, who mostly seem to love the Lord, work hard, pay their taxes, support our government, evben when the gubmenty does really stupid stuff, and like to hunt and fish and shoot.

Couple Ordered to Stop Holding Bible Study at Home

Is there some reason they can't just leave us alone? Is it too much to ask for us to conduct some harmless activity in our own homes?

The Mississippi Slabologist

When I am not at the rifle range shooting or at home reloading, I am on the lake fishing. Here is what some Mississippi crappie look like:
