Default Chuck Berry, RIP

A great entertainer and a great talent. I am glad he had a long life, and I dearly hope it was a happy life.

He was great entertainer. One of the father's of rock & roll. His version of "Memphis" still gets me to stop and listen when I hear it on the radio.

His version of Memphis was the best! RIP Mr Berry. Another great version of Memphis was an instrumental one done by the late and great Lonnie Mack. Lonnie was not a household name like Chuck, but man could he pick an Ax. I tried my darnedest to play like him back in the day,but never could quite pull it off!

I know most people are familiar with Chuck Berry and Johnny Rivers version of Memphis, but give a listen to Lonnie's killer version. BTW....Lonnie Mack died last April.

Any Republican not favoring Donald Trump should resign from office and become a Democrat.

Chuck Berry influenced rock and rollers for decades, his style was very unique.

I kinda like the blusey way he 'Mean Ole World' off the London Sessions Album 1972. And his anthem, ' I'm a rock and roller'....TM7

Mack did a great version of the song. So did the Ventures. I spent a lot of time trying to play guitar like they did but finally gave into the fact that a guitar player I'm not. I still have two of the Mosrite guitars produced while they owned that company and my son has one. He got pretty good with a guitar although he switched to a Les Paul eventually. He must have inherited his musical ability from his mother's side of the family because it certainly didn't come from me.

You sound like me on the banjo; I could play a few tunes, but too clumsy to get good.

I loved CB doing "Johnny be good" real rock-n-roll.
