Default Western North Dakota - Mule Deer + Whitetail?

Can anybody offer up some help for a DIY muley and whitetail in the Medora area? Archery starting 9/1? Any suggestions references, etc. would be appreciated.

Muddy, you might check with the state wildlife biologist assigned to the area you are interested in hunting to make sure that the last couple of winters did not knock down the mulies. We did not understand the prior winter situation when we hunted antelope and mule deer west of Laramie, WY in '94. We shot 5 antelope but had to scramble to get just one mule deer. Saw 4 or 5 mule deer compared to dozens of antelope in 5 days of hunting. As I recall, the previous winter had been cold and very dry. Landowner let us take one mule deer doe off an irrigated alfalfa field.

M134Troll, done that and got some basic info. Confirmed herd in GC and confirmed EHD in SD never made it north which was a major concern for us. Just trying to get as much G2 as we can. Also getting some help from Hoyt rep which was nice surprise.
