An American hero. All who were with him in the Ia Drang have my utmost respect. Great book by him and Joe Galloway.

Rick Rescorla who was a 1st LT (IIRC) during the battle went on to be head of security for a company located in the world trade center and gave his life saving many lives on 9-11-01.

Rescorla is the G.I. pictured on the cover of the book "We Were Soldiers Once.......and Young".
