I'm pretty sure they are made in China. I bought one a couple years ago, and it was a waste of money.

It will depend on the model. I have a Nikko Sterling mount master on an air rifle and it is made in China. Some of their top end scopes are supposedly made in Japan.

That's what I have: a Mountmaster. I have it on an air rifle, too: a Crosman 2260 converted to PCP. IIRC, I gave about $75 for it from Bud's. It's not worth $25 in my opinion. And I don't have a problem with cheap Chinese scopes if they work ok. I have a couple of Barskas that I'm 100% satisfied with, considering the price.

I had one of the Nikko scopes. What junk. I wouldn't trade a used Simmons or Tasco for 2 more of them, new in the box!

So far, mine is working out OK on a 12fpe spring piston air rifle. Time will tell if it holds up.
