Can 32 S&W longs be shot safely in this revolver?

Howie: Do you have the disk? If so, how involved is the work? Does it require any special tooling?

Nope, I don't have the disk.

Heck, I don't even have one of these revolvers! ;D

I just stumbled upon that disk a day or two before I read this thread...

Safely I guess, although cases sometimes split and always swell very badly. Accuracy with the proper ammo is not at all bad but .32 long is not at all good since the bullet has to wonder through an extremely oversize chamber before slamming into a bore with no forcing cone. If you want to shoot the Nagant it is well worth while to get the correct ammo if for no other reason than just because it is part of what makes the Nagant interesting. Graff & Sons has the Russian military ammo in 14 round packs for $3.99 and the Prvi Partizan in 50 round boxes for $22.99. That's not dirt cheap but is actually less than Winchester .32 S&W long and way less than any .32 H&R mag.

The story of David & Goliath only demonstrates the superiority of ballistic projectiles over hand weapons, poor old Goliath never had a chance.

I bought one years ago when they were priced under $100 with holster cleaning rod etc. but, that's all they're worth to me? P*** poor trigger and ammo isn't cheap or easy to find. And, reloading ???? I don't care if Rasmussen was killed with one of these.
