58 cal?
« on: March 17, 2010, 04:48:56 PM »
Did NEF make a 58 cal. ML barrel?  Someone wants to sell me one but I never heard of a .58 cal NEF.  In addition the bullets aren't easy to come by and the selection is limited.

Yes they made .58 I have 2 of them there are several others here who also have them. The Old H&R made .45's .58's and 12ga ML shotguns. The .50's came out after H&R went bankrupt following a lawsuit from someone that was hit in the forehead with a breech plug from one of the ML's that was a FTF or hangfire at least that is what part of the Urban Legend is .I do not know the whole story or what the truth is and have never seen any newspaper articles or heard the rest of the story. There is other information about the .58's on here if you look for it. Several companies still produce full bore bullets in 58.Kurt
