Ok guys I keep thinking about either a 6.5x55 or a 260remington in the handi rifle.Don't need it but really want one,whats the odds of either being brought out by H&R?I think it could happen,but then so could many other cal.If not,how could I build one?

Sounds good Swageall,A hunting buddy got a cz in 6.5x55 this summer and after shooting it really liked it.The 260remington always interested me also.Not to be nosy but what is the cost to convert 243 to 260?

I have had onr done by the same snith did Quick's, Mine was $300 plus.
But it was what I wanted, My money, if you want it go for it,

Yep, the 260 & the 6.5X55 are great. I am looking at building a 260 soon. Either a Savage or Rem, not sure which yet.

The cost of converting a caliber like this runs around $300 to $350 on the average. Counter boring to remove the rifling, ream, doing a finish ream, cutting in the rifling and some neck and throat work should just about take care of it.
Quick or Mac could tell you better as they have more experience on the price end of a conversion, I just do the work and leave the $$$$ talk to the boss.
