.....what is your favorite/pet load in the 30-30 using the lighter 130-grain bullets......I have a few/ I think one box of 130 hornady soft points and it is time to experiment with a coyote load....

andrewtheelder3  when i had my 30/30 ai i used the  remington 130 hollow point  on just about every thing .

Had great success with W748 with CCI250 primers and WW or Remington cases. Start out with with low charge weights and work up. If you have a chronograph you can match some of the velocities in the loading manuals. The Hogdgon manual #26 gives pressures for 130 grain bullets with several companies powders.

Remember though that not only is your rifle probably different than mine, your primers, powder, are all different in lot # than mine. So YMMV (your mileage may vary)

Mine works great with 125 sierra & 3031 also 4895 . I have some 130 hornady sssp that I want to try as well and 125 balistic tips
My son is going to try it out this weekend extra doe season, wish him luck

With a Speer 130gr fp I use Re-7 or H335.
For Varmints though I use a 110hp Sierra and H335.

I have a H&R 158 in 30-30 ' I load 125 gr. nosler bt with IMR 3031. My rifle loves them but the deer dont.
