I looked in the FAQ's on the trigger job and he was talking about a hard Arkansas Stone       what is this?? can a person use knife shapeing stones to do a trigger job   like coarse, fine and extra fine stone's will these work  thinking about trying to do this but want to know if knife stones will work? thanks for the info

Sure, as long as the stone is flat. I use a Lansky ceramic for trigger honing, it works very well.
