Will a prohunter forearm fit a heavy tapered standard barrel.  I have a .280 prohunter barell and wish to purchase a standard encore .308 heavy tapered barrell.  I hope to use the same forearm with both barrells if possible.  Any help would be appreciated.

Call Fox Ridge Outfitters and they can tell you.

Don't be afraid of getting another forearm though.  They're not that expensive and as your barrels multiply you'll need them anyway.
