I am visiting my parents in Northern Arizona for the holidays. I brought
my 22 Hornet Handi along. I went to the local Wal Mart this morning
to do some shopping. Just for the hell of it I checked out the sporting
goods section. This Wal Mart sells guns. Probably the best deal on a
gun they had was a Henry H001 22 lever action for $229. They also
had RCBS reloading equipment. Tons of dies, presses, powder, scales,
and a bunch of Sierra and Hornady bullets. My Wal Mart back home
doesn't have any of this stuff. There is a range about 10 minutes from
my parents house. I picked up a bag of potatoes and some shoot n c
targets and made it to the range. There was nobody there and I had
the place to myself all morning. I set up some potatoes from 50-125
yards and turned them into hashbrowns with the Hornet. It was a
good time! I'm going to get my daughter out there with me later
on in the week. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year!

The wal-mart at Graham, tx had some reload stuff as well. Only one I have seen. But I guess there's another.

The closer you get to the sticks the better the shopping, The walmart in Laramie has loading stuff and guns and everything else. If they dont have what your looking for the fly shop can order anything for ya. They have been great to me!

Marv,
The Wal Mart in question is located in Cottonwood Az. That's half way in between
Prescott and Flagstaff, or about 100 miles North of Phoenix. On the way here My
Daughter and I stopped by Cabela's in Glendale. I damaged my credit card pretty
good there and probably will do so again on the way back home.  Grin
Phoenix has a Bass Proshops, Cabela's, and a Sportman's Warehouse. My kind of
town! The gun department at the Phoenix Cabela's is friggin sick! Just about
every brand of long gun and handgun you could imagine, and lots of used guns
too at pretty darn good prices. Someday I hope they build a Cabela's near where
I live.

Marv,
This is a beautiful area of the country. When most people think about Arizona
they think desert, sand, and cactus. A lot of the  state is like that. There are
also huge pine forests, lakes, and beautiful mountains. I love visiting here.
Last night there were 4 javalina in my parents back yard. They came right up
to the back door of the house. My parents treat them like pets. My parents
live along the Verde River. There is a ton of wild life right in their back yard.
Everything form golden eagles to beaver. Hundreds of different birds live here
at different times of the year. Wood ducks, 3 or 4 different kinds of hawks,
woodpeckers, egrets, etc. etc. The place is like some kind of wildlife
sanctuary or something. You wouldn't have to go far for some good hunting
around here.
