CZ-75B Stainless Steel 9mm-WOW!

CZ-75B...where have you been all my life?   
  I recently bought a stainless CZ-75B after much on line research and I have to say with my 30 years of handling and shooting firearms I have never seen such a fine weapon!  It is gorgeous!  It has a sweet double action and single action trigger pull.  Fit and finish is pure quality.  The slide action is smooth as butter.  The grip feels as though I squeezed a mold out of clay for a perfect/comfortable fit.  More importantly is how its shoots.  I initially put 200 rounds through it with out a hickup.  No brake in required.  I had to look twice at the targets to believe what I was seeing.  It hits like a laser.  At 7 meters a single hole.  Further out extremely accurate as well.  It is more accurate than my SIG 226 duty pistol!
I hate to say it but it has taken equal rating to my Springfield 1911, and is a little lighter and smaller.
  I love this pistol!  I went to work telling my friends (law enforcement), ranting and raging how great this gun is and I would get answers like;  "Whats a CZ"?  Or; "A what...never heard of it".   "A cheapo"?   ;DWell, let me tell you something.  The word needs to get out on CZ pistols, or a least the CZ-75B.  It is rare for me to be so excited about a pistol that I would take the time to write this.  I would rate this as one of the best pistols in the world.  This after 20 years in the military, and currently law enforcement.  I recommend this pistol to all, and wish the word would be out more on the CZ!

Norseman, I to spent 20 in the service and have a background in law enforcement and I also have a CZ 75B, mine is the blue model.
The only thing I did was put a set of finger grips on it. Have had mine for 7 or 8 yrs. The 9mm witness mags will fit it also. (used to work in a gun shop that carried both and the witness was coppied from the Cz). Mine is my everyday CCW carry gun. Right out of the box good shooting gun. Every body that has tried it has gone and bought one.

I was looking to buy the same gun a few months back.  Talked to my FFL and he said I got one in my office that is a few years old but not stainless--said never been fired and he would cut me a good deal.  I bought it--turned out to be the original cz-75--17 years old and never fired.  I love it.  the grips are as you described.  This thing is super accurate and have not had a single failure and getting close to 2000 rds through it.  Have been thinging about getting there 2075 for a carry gun.  These were somewhat new to me too when I started looking for a good all around 9--had several comments about what a cz is, also.  Am starting to look at there rifles and shotguns as well and have heard nothing but good things about them as well

It's amazing to me how many people in the shooting world still don't know about CZ.  I can say that I didn't know much until I started digging into CZ history about 12 months ago.  I had heard of the early CZ pistols and I always thought that they were cheap cobby pistols from Eastern Europe  - I later discovered that CZ has been manufacturing fine quality firearms for sporting use long before any military firearms.  It's amazing how much the CZ design has been copied by other manufacturers.  I truly enjoy many different firearms, rifles and pistols, but I can say without a doubt that the CZ is in my opinion the best shooting pistol in it's price range - and the ergonomics may be the best in any price range.  I wouldn't trade mine for anything.  Other guns will come and go but this one will be with me till I pass on.

I have the Stainless CZ-75B also.  The first time I fired a full magazine at a target.  I said "WOW, this is a great shooting gun.  And then looked at the target, I said "WOW" again.  This is a great shooting gun.

The CZ- 75B is a very fine pistol. I put Hogue grips on mine & it's sure is accurate. Also, purchased a CZ-82 & CZ-40B and they are fine shooting pistols. They are all keepers.

My very first 9mm pistol was a CZ85DB in 9mm luger.  I found one in the used pistol case that still looked like new.  I liked it right away.  I then purchased a CZ83 in 380acp and a CZ83 in 9mm mak too.  Then the military version of the CZ82 became a C&R and was only $189 in 9mm mak.  Even some of these were in excellent condition too.  The CZ line of pistols are awesome and overlooked by many.  The CZ75 is the choice of the russian spec ops.  I wonder why?

they haven't changed all that much since the seventies, don't have a techno funky look to them, don't get hyped up everyday in gun mags.... I guess a lack of bragging is why people don't know.  you know what is said about those who don't need to brag- and I bet cz has plenty of dough to roll in from those of us who DO KNOW.  I bought a cz75 once and it's got over 4,000 through it- the only thing I could ever bounce cans around at 25yds with any better was a 22rifle.  it's an incredible gun, and that polymer skin on it has stopped it from rusting due to a year of carry here in humid missouri.  back in the day they were also used as competition pistols because they could handle stupid hot +P 9mm loads to make power factor AND have some ammo capacity too.  (it did break slide stops though)  why the military went beretta I just cannot understand?!

I was just looking at a CZ75 in polished stainless yesterday.  I needs a CZ75 for my collection and a CZ83 in 32acp.  I did notice that locally the prices on the used CZ's went up $100.

The CZ line of pistols to me are the best on the planet.

It took me many years to think about getting a 9mm pistol.  I didn't like the choices nor the looks of some of them and even the cost.  I just wasn't interested in the 9mm round after all i was carrying cannons. Then I found my CZ85DB in 9mm luger in the used pistol case looking like new and hardley shot if it was shot.  Most people here buy guns and don't shoot them.  You can find new guns in the used section. The gun was flawless at the range and awesome to shoot with wolf 9mm ammo.  My thoughts were cheap/affordable ammo so i don't need to reload another caliber.

I carry a CZ82 in 9mm makarov.  Its a retired czech surplus military pistol and its a C&R.  These cost from $189 to $219 depending on the condition you pick and it comes with an extra 12rd mag.  I got a holster from www.midwayusa.com and its an in the pants holster and it has the pocket for the extra 12rd mag.  I thought it would be way less power over a 9mm luger but its not really.  The little russian 9mm mak (9x18) round sure barks too.  It also has the double action first shot feature too like the other CZ pistols have(some of them).   The CZ82 & CZ83 are pretty much the same pistol except for the cost.  I believe the CZ82's were seeing right now is the last batch of them being imported these are the last ones they saying.  You can see them at, www.aimsurplus.com  or www.centerfiresystems.com  or www.centuryarms.com right now.  If your interested in gettiung one i wouldn't wait too much longer but you might want to get two or more at this price.

I've always thought about buying an extra 75 or two for the sake of a back-up if ww3 or natural disaster strike (or zombies) but I think that'll I'll be out of food, water or endurance before that one ever breaks.  they're beasts, and slim-slick-sexy ones too.  I would like to get an ar-24 though, just to have a beefier version (also the slide on them will cycle with the safety on)... I doubt it would make a difference but why not?

The "wow" factor that you folks are referring to does not surprise me in the least. It also happens a lot when someone purchases a CZ rifle. At the range everyone gathers around the new rifle and all you hear is "wow." CZ makes excellent firearms. After reading the comments here about the 75B, I had to check it out. I agree, "WOW," I want one of those.

First picked one up at shop's range to "try out", about 1998?, when first got interested in handguns. No matter what i tried, the cz75 fit me best and hence outshot the others, including high end stuff that woulda thought sexier. Just didn't like the black polycoat, just personal preference/quirk. Been window shopping ever since, but when saw the brushed stainless 75B that came out, pulled the trigger.

The CZ is a god handling pistol. 

I asked  my brother, a gunsmith, about repairing if it breaks.  He said that there is a trigger spring which is a pain to replace.  I think dry firing can cause it to break. 
 
This is my take.  When I first read the post I thought about looking for one; however, on further inquiry I decided to back off.  I am not casting a bad light on the gun.  I just want to know about repairs.

Anyone familiar with the trigger spring?

I'm sure you guys will do what i did over the past few years after my first purchase was the CZ85DB "get more because there awesome" thats what i did.  I never let any affordable ones go by me when there in excellent condition when there at a used price.  Most aren't shot much too.  I'
