CZ 85 combat

I have been looking for a pistol to shoot 9mm ammo,  for mostly fun and cheaper shooting.  Not really for CCW, that would be rare for this one.
I have read all kinds of things on the CZ pistols,  and am interested in the CZ 85 combat...(not the 85B)....

I like the idea of adjustable sights...I hear there is no firing pin block.  The prices don't look bad around here for an all steel pistol like that. 

Has anyone owned the CZ 85 combat and what is your experience with this one, and can you get good service for it if needed?

I have the 75 ( not the B).  It is basically the same pistol. The 85 has the ambidextrous controls and the combat the adjustable sights.  The price is great.  The pistol is extremely accurate.  I changed out the springs with wolf as mine was 17 years old when I got it, NIB thou.  But some hogue grips on it.  The springs I used gave me a lighter trigger and a little less muzzle rise.  I have been using it in a slow fire match and have done well with it.

I think if your plans are for target, you could not go wrong.  It is my favorite pistol to shoot right now.  I shoot my buckmark more mainly because of cost but this one is my favorite.

Good choice, my first CZ pistol was the 85 Combat that I purchased a few years ago. This pistol I regard highly- as certainly  being on par (if not superior to)  my Beretta Brigadier, Walther P5, Walther P88C, and other "high-end" service pistols that I have collected. 

My 85 Combat has always functioned flawlessly and accurately. When I feel I need to take along a totally dependable pistol for reasons of personal security (and a light weight, sub-compact isn't necessary) it is always one of my CZs.

Among my other CZs are the (un-cataloged) CZ 40P and the CZ 40B which were very inexpensive and extremely excellent pistols- that I would never part with.

I have owned my CZ85C for about two years & my sentiments are the same.

I put those same grips on mine too a cz75. 

So what have you decided or have you got one yet?
