I'm working on a Lyman plains pistol kit and the only problem I have with it is cosmetic...the barrel has a paragraph of safety nonsense either stamped or engraved on it.  Now I am all about firearms safety, but this spoils the looks of this wonderful peice.  Is there anything I can safely do about it?  First thought is draw filing to remove, but I wonder about barrel strength.  Anybody have any thoughts?
