I finished throating the 45/70 yesterday, and reaming out and throating the BC barrel to 45/120 this evening!   Grin  Cool

Everything went perfectly!  Well, there was one hiccup yesterday,  Embarrassed  but with a little help from Tim today I went back and finished things up.   Grin  The extension I made to hold the throater worked great and I'll be sending it to Tyler to use when he throats his 45-120.  It's available for anybody who wants to use it!   Kiss

Kathie's mailing the reamer and throater back to 4D tomorrow and I'm gonna order the stuff I need to start reloading.  LET THE FUN BEGIN!   Tongue

Naw, such precautions are for the newer generation of light rifle wantin, minimal recoil tolerat-in, politically correct, sensitive, namby-pamby, girly-men type of shooters!   Roll Eyes  Us real men, you know, the ones who started shootin 12 ga's and 375 H&H's when we were 5 or 6, are immune to recoil and being the "thumpee" doesn't worry us a bit. Don't mind at all.  But I really don't remember exactly.   Embarrassed  One of 'em, the throater I think, was $28.  I'm sure the other wasn't much more.  The big dollar was the deposit, but when you give Fred your CC info, he just holds it until the reamers come back.  That way it's not really part of the transaction.  Go to his web site.  He's got the prices there.

What you thinking about doing there Jer?   Huh   Wink   Grin

I looked back on my credit card statement, it cost $63.50 for the two reamers I rented at last year at the same time, 30-30Impr and 460S&W.

Atlaw, we need video.  Us that can't afford it like to live vicariously off you other fella's.  I also like to watch those videos  on tv of folks getting hit in the nether regions and falling off mountains and such.

Judging from your avatar, you might be the only lawyer I would trust, but you probably scare the begeebers out of the rest.......a lawyer with guns?  The ACLU might try and have you disbarred!

I'M HERE!

Do you have any brass and bullets to see how far you can seat a bullet out?  If I'm getting 2550 fps with 405 grain Remingtons and a non existent throat, you could get 2600 I bet...

Not all that much better here in the south this morning. When I checked it was 19 and the wind is howling outside causing our wind chimes to dance and sing continuously. With the wind chill it's not feeling much above zero here. Of course over the weekend it will rise into the 60s.

hey Andy!  It just dawned on me riding home tonight that since I reamed out the BC I won't be able to check the velocity of your load from both the 22 and 32 inch barrel!   Shocked  I was gonna load some 45/70's tonight, but had dog/dinner cooking/ex-wife calling problems...  Embarrassed  I'll send some over the chrono soon!   Grin
