sight adjustment tool

I recently bought a EAA Witness 10MM Mg. compact handgun made bt Tanfoglio, which, I am told, is a copy of the CZ 75.

I am impressed with the performance of the gun as to the reliability and the ergonomics, but it shoots about 6" low at 25 yds.  This is a fixed sight model.

There are a couple of small set screws in the rear sight, and thinking that by loosening them I could remove the rear sight and just buy another sight of the proper height......that is not the case.  The sight does not want to move by the hammer and punch method, so before I beat the slide all to Hell, I think I would rather buy a sight adjustment tool for the purpose of removal of the rear sight.

So, my question is, do any of you guys have experience with sight adjustment tools and where to get them?   I see Brownells has several models, in prices ranging from $60 to $300 but they are out of stock.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Is there a reason you don't want to file the front sight down a hair or two?

Unless the front sight is an expensive night sight, I would file it down. Exactly what I did on my 1911. Put on a taller than normal front post, went to the range with a file and a bunch of ammo, and just started to whittle it down alittle at a time, 5 to 10 shots at a time. When I got to where it was putting them in the middle of an 8'' paper plate at about 20 yds. that's when I quit filing. gypsyman

OK I got that problem fixed by buying an adjustable rear sight and it works fine.......except that the dovetail fits the rearward slot instead of the foreward slot, which leaves the foreward slot exposed.

It looks a little tacky that way, so I am wondering is  anyone here knows where I can buy a sight blank to fill the slot.

It measures about .460" on the bottom which it somewhat wider than a rifle blank would be.
