I got the gun back a week or so ago.  I was pleased with the bill...$180.00 (plus my shipping out to D.W.)  They smoothed out the forcing cone and replaced a few parts ("Bolt Large Frame", "Crane Lock Large", "Head Space Shim LG" & shipping and handling)

Today I finally got to run out a few rounds to test the gun.  I am well pleased.  No more lead/copper jackets are being shaved by the forcing cone.

I have not run more than a handful thru the gun yet, but so far, all is well.  I'm going back downstairs in a few minutes to stuff a few more cases and take the gun out back to the range to see how the accuracy is now that the bullets seem to be leaving the gun in one piece.

More later.

You lucky dude, I'm still waiting for mine to return, having to settle for my Contender and Ruger pistols til my Max is back from DW for tightening up and refinish. Even though mine wasn't shaving, it was kind of loose from years of hard use.  Your parts and repair sounds exactly what mine's getting for the same price, except I went ahead with the reblueing because of the serious Barnying of my frame.

blhof,
I hope your gun returns soon.  I did manage to take it out the the range this afternoon...ran a few more down the pipe from 50 yards...it's shooting fine.

The gun is managing 4" groups and with my shaky shooting, that's just fine for now.
