I have an older 220 in 45 ACP that I bought years ago.  It is roll marked for SIG in Herndon VA, and has a "half-cock" safety notch for the hammer.  The mag release is "normal" - not on the heel. Ser # is: G XXX XXX.  Is there any collector value in this gun?  -AimHigh

I don't want to burst your bubble, but I doubt there is any collector value in your pistol.  If in good shape it should still be highly desireable as a shooter and bring a good price if selling.

Thanks.  No bubble to burst.  This is the pistol that I keep available in my bedroom "just in case" things go wrong.  I know that in the event of a shooting (even if justified) that the police will confiscate and hold the weapon.  I would hate to lose any SIG, especially a collector, to a police evidence locker.  -Aimhigh
