your welcome Zoner. there are alot of nice looking guns out there, but there is somethin specaial about a single action.
i enjoy looking at the work and personalizing ppl do, and though it was time to have a "lets see your SA" ..
next time i post a pic of mine, it will be wearing a custom made wood grips, by me. thanks to the help of oldandslow ( who is probably neither, by the looks of his craftsmanship ) who guided me thru the process

Thanks guys, I didn't know i had quite that many, first time I've had them all out at once in a long time.  They mostly all have some custom features and they all get shot from time to time, some more than others.  I made all the stag grips, some from India stag ,some Moose, but most from Elk.

Wow Hank!  That's great!  I hope your wife was not at home when you dragged all of those out for the picture!  If she was, you have our sympathy as you buy her a new kitchen, new carpet through the house, and new living room furniture.  At least that is what that many guns would cost me!  Seem every one I buy costs me twice as much to keep the wife happy.  (course she ain't going to be happy anyway)  44 Man

Hey 44 man, I don't have a wife ,that's why I can have the guns.  No wife=do anything you want -whenever you want- however you want-have all the guns you want-life is good.

Yep and no wife to clean the house but then there's no wife to bitch about me getting it messy
either.  No more talking, get your guns and lets go shoot, what? you have to get permission from your wife, well, maybe next time.

17+ years married to my only wife and I've never had to ask permission for anything.  I respectfully defer to her wishes when I decide it's the right thing to do because I love and respect her.  Many times I selfishly insist on having it my way though and she tolerates me very well in spite of that.  If a person is too selfish to consider the needs of others above himself when it is appropriate to do so, I feel sorry for him because he is likely very lonely, or will be at a very inopportune time in his life.  My toys make me VERY happy.  My relationships make me happier.

i too am very respectfull of my wife and she is of me. She wouldnt dream of telling me not to spend money on a gun or loading gear. Ive dumped well over 50 grand in the last 3 months building a new barn, loading room and a ton of loading gear. We handle  money in a differnt way then most. All my major things like cars trucks and home are paid for. My retirement pays the bills. My social secruity disability is my money and she works and her money is hers. I spend mine the way i see fit and so does she. Never once an argument about money. She even ordered a new 500 a couple years ago for me from John.  Even when i had major bills we would each pay certain bills and kept our money seperate. Its by far the best way to do things. Another thing ive got going for me is her ex was an alcoholic and would dissapear for days drinking and chasing. Me, i have an occasional beer but its a once or twice a year thing that im in a bar and im sure she figures she my way of disposing of income beats the hell out of way her ex did it!!! It took me 35 years to finally become smart enough to stay away from those hot high maintance women and find a truely good one! Hell i love her allmost as much as my dog!

The secret to a happy marriage is to find the right one, then marry her (in that order).  Most people settle for less, thinking it's the best they can do.  Maybe they marry one that just needs a "little bit of tweaking".  That doesn't seem to work well for most.   Always amazes me when I ask a person what attracted them to the other in the first place,  one of the frequent responses is "they liked me".  Doesn't say much for self-esteem, does it?

Also, considering the human brain isn't done "growing" until age 26 or so, most marriages with one or both under 26 end in divorce.  They say stuff like "we don't have anything in common" and "we've grown apart"; and "he or she isn't the same person I married".   And they are right.  Sometimes it's "I thought if we had another child we would be close again, like when our first child was born".  Sad.

If you can't find the right person it's best to wait until you're 96 years old, and then ONLY get married if you "have to".
