OK Cal here it is step by step jist fer yew.  Smiley

1. You must get a URL assigned to the photo. if you need to you can use www.MyhostedPics.com to host your pics it is free to use...

2. Once you have your URL  follow the directions below:

3a. Put the URL into the body of your post right where you want the image to appear.
if you use the My Hosted Pics the URL will look like this:
Code:
[img]http://www.myhostedpics.com/images/VidPro/tusmilie.gif[/img]

and there is no need for steps 3b-3d
else if your url looks like this:
Code:
http://www.myhostedpics.com/images/VidPro/tusmilie.gif

then follow the rest of the steps.

3b. Put your cursor at one end of the URL and click and hold the left mouse button. Sweep it across the URL to high light it.

3c. Go up to the tool bar right above this message block and find the block that says (Img). Click on it.

3d. That's all there is to it. If you did it right your image will appear where you want it in the body of your message. If you want to post another just do the same all over again.

4. If the image doesn't appear either you didn't do exactly as directed above OR the URL isn't correct OR the site hosting it doesn't allow use of images they host off of their site. This is entirely possible. Hosting images is a VERY EXPENSIVE thing to do. Most sites pay for it by selling ads or pop ups on their site. So they really don't want you showing the image elsewhere as they don't get an ad view or message pop up to their credit for it.

We have two size limits on avatars. One of them is that the physical dimensions cannot exceed 80x80 pixels. The other is that it can't be larger than a certain size file in bytes. I think the limit is really 18Kbtes tho not 25 but we may have changed it.

If you do not have the ability to size your image or to know it's size just e-mail it to me and I'll size it for you.

Avatars are uploaded in your profile under the heading Forum Profile Information near the left margin, there's a size limit, so you'll have to use image editing software to reduce the image to a useable size before it will upload.

The Test forum near the bottom of the index page is the appropriate place for test pic postings.  Wink
