I just bought a Marlin XS7 in .308 and have been using Remington Core-Lokt Express 150gr PSP to get it dialed in.  My other rifles have always shot well using Federal Power Shok (blue box).  I couldn't find these in .308 Win so I grabbed some Core-Lokts.  I realize all rifles are unique and like what they like.  I was just curious if anyone had input on this topic.  I am looking for inexpensive factory loads.

I've had mine for a couple of months, and have been shooting it weekly.  Mine seems to like 165 grainers.  Some 150 gr. loads are fine too tho.  Today I was out, and did my best, most groups ( 3 shot) did .75" or under....  One of the best factory loads was PRVI 165 gr. that was .77".  I did a lot of handloads, tried ww748 powder and cci mag. primers, and had groups that were as small as .39 up to around .75 (all 3 shots) another note, mine seems to like to be a bit dirty, does its best after about 5 shots to fowl  the bore.  46 grs. of ww748 and just about any bullet was sub-moa.. its a keeper !!  I also have a Marlin XL7 in .270 that is sub-moa, that one likes Fed. Fusion 130's best.  Hope this helps.  Bob

How'd those corlokts work out DKS?  Always been partial to the corlokts, so i'm curious to see how they shoot in the XS7...
