Are the muzzle's on D.W. barell not crowned? None of my 3 barrels had a crown on the muzzle,so I put a small 11 degree,on the 10" barrel after I squared it up on the lathe. Did I mess up?  Digger

The Norwich plant started crowning their barrels, I have one of 10" for my 357Max and I also have an older IHSMA 8" barrel that was crowned, but I bought it used and don't know if it's factory or done by a smith.  Both shoot excellent.  A good crowned barrel can't hurt accuracy and can help in many cases.

Thanks for the info,I may crown the 6" and the 2 1/2" also.I've got 3 chambers that shoot to the same point to make about 1" at 30 yds. while the other 3 open it up to 2 1/2" . I may bevel the barrel inside on the forcing cone end also. Digger
