C Products Mags

I'm looking to purchase a few new mags for my Springfield GI.  It hasn't ever been picky about what it was fed or what fed it, but I want these for IDPA and 3 gun so I'd like them to work well.  I've run Springfield, McCormick, Wilson, Kimber, and several random no-name mags in it and all fed well.  My buddies Wilsons were the best by far, but the others were trouble free, just not as slick loading and unloading.  I see Midway has the C Products 8 round with the base pad for less than $20 so they are very appealing.  Anyone used them and if so how did they work?

Are C products a new line or are you referring to Chip Mc's?
I am not familar with C products.

c products makes a real good ar magazine. Ive never seen 1911 mags from them but im sure if they make them there not junk.

william, C Products makes great AR mags.  I just noticed they are making 1911 mags now.  They are different from Chip McCormick, which I am familiar with.

Lloyd, I thought so as well, but someone on AR15.com gave them a bad review.  I figured someone here would have tried them out and could give another perspective, whether good or bad. 

I'll probably end up buying a few McCormicks because I know they will be quality rather than taking a chance on the C Products.  I coul buy Wilson, but I'd feel like I'd be paying more for the name than anything else.  My little Wilson rant:  I run a Safariland holster for my 1911 and a Safariland mag pouch for my AR.  Wilson sells the exact same gear with the Wilson brand on them for twice the price on the mag pouch and 3 times the price on the holster.  I know their guns are great, but they rip us on the small stuff.

I've got 20 of the C products magazines for the ARs. They have performed as well as an AR mag I have. No problems. I'd buy more if I needed more mags.

keep in mind that one guys review means about nothing. Some guns just dont like some magazines and some guys think that a magazine should majically fix there crappy gun.

I recently purchased some 1911 magazines and considered the C-Product mags.  From what I read, some folks have experienced problems with them and some bugs need worked out.  I decided to go with Metalform.  If you can live with 7 rounders, you can get them for $10.00 each.

I have had some hit and miss with C products when they introduce a new product - I had several 6.8 SPC mags that were a problem. C - products does stand behind their products and eventually worked out the issues. For your purpose I would buy the Wilson and move on - Wilson mags are very good and one less thing to worry about.
