I had mentioned in another thread that my company got glock as a client. I work in the tradeshow industry. They were giving us crate pricing on handgun purchases and I was very excited about getting one. I wanted the g-34 and waited for six months to hear about the "deal" I was going to get. After transfer fees and all it was about 50 bucks off the price of the gun. Some deal. I was pretty sad, as I was looking forward to getting my first glock.
Yesterday I was just browsing around my local gun store and they had three used 21's that were like brand new, with the box and contents. Well, I pick mine up after the three day waiting period. $450.00 out the door.
All's well that ends well right?

How arcane. I would die with a 3 day waiting period. Go figure the libs want 3 day waiting period on a legal gun purchase, but allow for an abortion on demand. .Wish I could shoot a Glock. They are just too light for me,esp. in the 10MM

GrimJim, congrats on your getting the GLOCK!!! However, in my area I have seen two such Glocks priced at $400 dollars used (like new with box & goodies) and I talked a friend of mine into purchasing one himself yesterday. You gotta love those Glocks!

Around here used Glocks normally go for $400 and new for $500. The last one I bought used was a G22 with night sights and it cost me an even $400 out the door.
However prices do seem to vary by region on guns inspite of the availability of them online. You still must have them shipped to your FFL guy tho and darn few of them will accept one for free anymore. I used to have such an arrangement but he decided that honest money wasn't enough for him and started doing straw purchases. BATFE caught him and I think he will do time for it plus he lost his business which in my opinion was netting him close to a million a year tho I honestly am not sure of that.

The lure of easy money can be strong, but I think a lot of small guys just get too lax with the regs. I don't know that they do it intentionally but get too complacent after a while.
New glocks at the same store by me are 600and some change, so 450 out the door was a pretty good deal.

His operation was not small by any means. He had three to five folks on staff in the store at all times and some times more at more busy times. He moved many guns each and every day. I don't recall ever going in there and not seeing from 2-3 sales just while I was in the store. He sold many high end guns as well such as O/U shotguns. I once gave him $12,500 for one myself.
Why he'd so such a thing is just beyond me.

The guy at the gun shop near me has a special on Glocks right now. He ordered some a year ago and they just came in. He has models 17, 19, 22, and 23 for $450. Some models he has in both OD, or black. I think he said he has 12 left.

Actually, they are the best sellers. 9mm full size, 9mm compact, 40 full size, 40 compact.

too bad the atf can't police the banks!!!
speaking of, what does alcohol and tobacco have to do with firearms and explosives. really, what do firearms have to do with explosives (unless someone has a grenade launcher or a barrel of black powder, they have no EXPLOSIVES)
the patriot act was supposed to catch all the bad guys too (bet they're reading this though)

Ever been to Texas? In Uvalde, Texas I saw a drive through gun store/liquor store combo. They also must have sold cigarettes.

that's what dc needs, so people don't get pinched trying to get their guns home just fill out the paperwork, wait for the background check, take the box like a happy meal (childhood memories! ) and drive off, no "carry" involved here in mo I can just grab one from the car, clear it out, and walk up to the shop carrying it, muzzle down and no one says a thing even though it's on mainstreet, downtown about two blocks from the police station and maybe viewable from the cop-shop (it's an open carry state but towns can restrict open carry-can't stop you from doing your business though) I think up until recently I didn't even own a decent carrying case (my trunk seal went bad so the carpet gets damp enough to rust anything blued) so in texas... ? what's the need/reason? when I go into a gun shop I just like to walk around and smell the powders and oils, touch things I'm never gonna buy, hell I'd lick them if I wouldn't get blacklisted!!!!
