I have been hunting /fishing since I can remember hard core reloader never taken a animal with factory ammo except .22 and gophers. I am lucky as where I live and have been able to take every kind of game except Caribou, They Closed the season before my time.
But 10 years ago I got me a bird dog a Golden from hunting stock and would say upland bird hunting with your best buddy beets anything!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I will check out the older threads too.
Funny about the older threads my big bro gave me a Outdoor Life mag when I was just a little kid printed in Dec 1968 the month I was born I still have it!
Ever notice, that was once old is new again in the shooting world? IE the 338 federal ended up just as dead as the .358 win a shame but that's life. And the new .17 do they offer more than a 5mm Rem except for being made in better guns? I remember when the Stinger came out Mom bought me a box and man did they blow up gophers wish I had a Chrono back then, Funny a 10 year old with a chrony, I know use the quik shock CCI as my gopher getter.
