Guide rod laser for Glocks

Anyone have any experience with this type of laser. Any suggestions for a laser for a 21 or 30

I bought a LaserMax for my G33. 
It used to turn itself off and on while firing it. 
After a period of time it grew dim. 
I sent it back and they replaced it with a new unit. 

I've had this one for several months and it functions properly.

Wow I had forgotten I made that post. Thanks for the reply. After I talked to some friends about the laser and found out about the costs I decided to go another direction. I would like a laser for night or low light conditions.

I watched a guy at the range with a laser, and it showed him all his bad habits while shooting.  Watching the dot you could see him moving the gun with trigger pull and also a little later his flinch.  I can see them as a good training tool.

Yea I'll bet it would tattle on a fella wouldn't it. but as you say a good tool to train with. I have always been concerned that a laser would point in "both" directions but in low light situations it would take the guess work out of the equation and send an intruder a tresspass notice

I have never been trained in using one in a tactical situation.  I don't think one leaves the laser on, but puts it on shortly before taking a shot to confirm aim.  My problem with that is it is just one more thing to remember when remembering is likely to be gone.  But if left on it is a telltale for sure.

If you want a laser I would recommend lasermax's unimax it's about 100 bucks compaired to the guide rod laser's 300+ dollars. The unimax can go on any rail system and is in red or green. I would look at pro's and con's of grip lasers or other lasers compaired to the guid rod laser on a defensive gun. Grip lasers turn on when you don't want them to and or could give your position away. With your finger along the frame of the gun in universal cover mode (as it should be) your finger will block the beam of the laser which takes away from the physcological effect the laser has on the target. Other lasers can also shift point of impact. The guide rod laser is guarenteed two inches or less point of impact at 25yds and also blinks rapidly. The blinking aids in the aquisition of the target or "tunnel vison" during high stress situations. Sorry for the long post.
