I finally had a chance to get out and shoot my 223 superlight Handi after installing a nylon washer on the hanger bolt to free float the fore end. Before I would get 3 shot groups with 2 shots inside an inch, and the third one 2 or 3 inches away. Yesterday I got 3 shots in one ragged hole ! It was only at 25 yards, though. I have just moved back to the country where I can shoot at home, but I don't have a longer range set up yet. I can't wait to see how it groups when I get set up at longer ranges.
The change in point of impact is funny though, showing that every situation is different and we can't always explain why. To start with, it was sighted about 3 inches high at 100 yds. With the fore end off to see if that was affecting groups, it was hitting about 8 inches high ! And now, it's hitting about 2 1/2 inches low...Who knows why ? It will be fun sighting it back in again, so I don't really care why Grin !
