I have a 50th anniversary ruger blackhawk in 44 mag.  I know it has the older style grip frame similar that is smaller than the new model blackhawk.  It came with the checkered black plastic grips, and they are good grips I just don't really like checkered plastic grips.  I'd like to fine some nice grips like stag, ivory looking, wood.  Just about anything that would look good on a deep blued gun.  The only ones I've looked at so far are on midway website, and they didn't have a whole lot to choose from.  If any of you have bought some grips for yours and have some pics I'd like to see them.  And any information on where i could  find some grips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

You've got to check out the grips Cary Chapman makes. clccustomgrips.com I have a pair on my Lipsey's 44 special, and my buddy has a pair on his 44 special and 50th anniversary 44 mag. You can send him your grip frame for a perfect fit. He does outstanding work! Smiley

Thanks, those are some beautiful grips he makes.  They are exspensive but they look like they are very high quality so i'm sure they are worth it.

Check Klamath River Woodworks also.  Have gotten some VERY nice grips from him.  Also, 41Magnum over on RugerForum makes some nice ones also.
