A friend had Volquartson (sp?)  rebarrel his High Standard .22 and he seems happy with the accuracy.  Has anyone tried aftermarket barrels for Ruger Mark I-III, Buckmarks, or others?

My Trailside does well with Greentags but the Buckmark needs some help to get under an inch at 25 yards.

some are fabulously accurate.  However, a standard Mark III target factory barrel shoots way better than all but the best shooters can discern.  What might be a better buy is a good trigger (half the price), and some Eley practice ammo.  Even the green box stuff will amaze.

I agree completely.  The Ruger semi-auto's have very accurate barrels.  What is lacking is a good trigger.  Invest in that and you will love the results!  44 Man
