Something around fifty grains of Pyrodex/Triple Seven/GOEX and a 240 grain hollow point Power Belt ought to be just dandy at that distance.

Or, fifty grains of powder and the Hornady 250 XTP.
This slug was designed for the .44 mag pistol. Lots of guys shoot deer with the .44 mag pistol.

I bet, coming from a rifle with 50 grains of powder it has more energy than it does coming from a pistol.

40-50 grains of 777 and 250 grain XTP will be just fine at 50-75 yards.

The 20ga. was a bit too much for my son. So he used my encore with 50gr. of 777 and a 240gr. hp and he shot a lil buck at 50 yards. He (We) were so happy!!!

In my G2 with 209-45 I use a 225 power belt and 50 grns of T7 and at 60 yrds and it seems to do just fine and not too much kick will shoot through 2 one inch oak boards and keep going so should kill a deer.
