hey guys im thinking of getting a 209x50 26in. ported brl my?
 how do the ports work do they help with recoil
does the loose powder fall out of the holes i dont use pellets
are they as accurate as non ported brls
any info would be great thanks for looking

They help with hearing loss, and make cleaning a PITA. Other than that, they are worthless on a muzzleloader IMO. Oh yeah, they look cool! Wink The only ones I have seen that looked like they actually help were on the Ultimate, and if you've ever seen one in action, you'll know what I mean.

Probably a good move.  Other than what Busta mentioned, if you're putting so much powder down the barrel to need a brake, you're probably wasting a ton of powder!  It also shortens the effective length of the barrel that's needed to burn that extra powder.  Wink
