I'm sure you guys have heard of CZ-52s going BANG! when the decocker is used, right?  Well, I was at the range last Thursday and decided to test mine for this.  Guess what...yep, it goes boom when the decocker is used.  I was able to figure out why, but I have no idea how to make it NOT do that.

Near as I can tell, the firing pin block gets depressed when the decocker is moved.  This is really evident when you pull the slide off of the gun, hold the hammer back, and activate the decocker.

So, anyone know how to make it not do this?  If not, know where I can find a good set of instructions on how to detail strip the gun and examine it myself?

I could be wrong, but I don't think original parts will do that.

When I decock all three of mine, I never trust the decocker alone. I grab the hammer, push the decocker lever and slowly lower the hammer. I even do this on my modern P95DC Ruger. There is a pencil test you can do on CZ 52's. Put the eraser end of a #2 pencil in the barrel with the hamer cocked back. Push the decocker and if the pencil moves, your decocker is bad, if it stays put, its good. I believe the ones that have had the decocker tested before export have a Z on the trigger guard.

Here are some CZ52 sites:
