Ok guys, I need some help. Cheesy   I am going to order a new Handi next month but I can't decide what to get.  I probably won't be doing any additional barrels with it until next year.  I was sold on the .280 because I love that round and the longer barrel but after reading several posts I am becoming more and more intrigued by the 45-70.  I already have a .280 Ruger M77 MKII that I will not be selling.

So......  Give me some opinions.  This will be used exclusively for whitetail hunting in W. TN and N. MS.  Should I go with another .280 or should I consider the 45-70?

This is a very hard choice to make...Well since you already have a 280 that you'll have at your disposal to use..I'd go with the 45-70 to use and play around with..mainly because I'm partial to that caliber, and it can do a great job on whitetails out to 250 yards with the right load, and you can use it for just about any other critter that comes your way too
