did anyone try to use a drag link socket, 1/2 in. drive instead of the wrench? It is a big slotted screwdriver on top of a socket basically.  I remembered I had a set of these for an application on a boat motor from Sears.  the 3/4 inch screwdriver drag link fits the wrench size almost perfectly.  they are $20 for a set of four sizes from Sears.

Jal5, I thought I saw that at Sears a few years back it might work! I will try and get down to the local Sears store after Christmas. I refuse to fight the crowds for the next few days... Maybe if Sears does not have them maybe Snap-on Tools will.

I found the drag link sockets on-line at Sears. Sears is temp. out of the socket set. I will wait and go to the nearest store in a few days it looks like they may work.  Thanks for the idea Jal5 Cheesy

The ½" drive drag link socket that Joe mentions is available in a set or individually.  Wink
