The older ones have the advantage of having the Allen wrenches built in.  The newer one is handier for a better grip and less danger of slipping.  Of the two I'd take the newer, allen wrenches are a dime a dozen.

As for the price of the DW tool, DW has to make their money somewhere.  Doesn't cost any more than an ink cartridge for your printer.
