Cold weather gardening (all kinds)

Hi Folks,

  The wife and I are planning to move from central California to the middle of Indiana, in zone 5 close to zone 6.  I've never gardened in an area that falls to -20 or lower in winter and, I need an education on gardening under those conditions.  Anyone know where I can find a good primer on vegetable, perennial plants, and fruit/nut trees?
