Since the server change I can read the forums but not post to them from my Ipad.

Got any idea why....Remember I'm barely computer literate.

This is suppost to be a help forum but there's always a wise guy.

I'm asking a serious question & would appreciate help from adminstration with this.

Will the new server not support Ipad use or what?

I don't have an Ipad and neither does Matt. I'm not sure there is any help we can give you. I'd think Matt would have to have one in hand to do much of any trouble shooting with it.

Gendoc uses his ipad, at least for limited access.

Gendoc said he has the same problem. My Ipad worked fine before the server change. Now I can read but not post from it. If I want to post I must use one of my PCs.. I supect it has something to do with the new server flash requirments but I'm not sure what to do about it. If you guys figure out anything I would appreciate you letting me know.

It's not a real problem when I'm home but when I travel nowdays I only take the IPad.

Sorry pastorp, I couldn't resist!

(But, I was semi-serious about the offer - I'm a computer guy by trade and they are one of my hobbies too. If it can be figured out, it probably requires having one in-hand to see what is going on, though it would be best in Matt's hands since he has access to the server side as well.)

Hey, I got it to work this time by fist clicking on a smiley and then backspacing before I began typing. Will try again.

It only worked for me one time and now I am back to posting on my wife's laptop. Has anyone made any progress as to what is causing the ipad problem since the server upgrade?

It should work now and if not just go into your profile --->Modify Profile--->Look and Layout---> turn off WYSIWYG and you should be ok. You may need to turn it back on if you have problems post from your desktop.

I can read from my iPad but it will not let me post. Whats strange is I can post from my smartphone. I would think the technology is similar.

Anyone that has an iPad, I suggest buying the tapatalk app. It's awesome for a lot forums and cleans up the pages really nice and fits perfectly on the screen. I use it on my iPad and iPhone.

Whatever Matt did back in September seems to have fixed the problem and at least for me required no changes on my part.

I knew there were compatability issues with my 1st gen iPad. Had to always use the desktop to write.
Clearly GBO addresed this issue. Appears this will post just fine--thx
