March weather in Upper peninsula?

(1/7) > >>

RevJim:
Say you bunch of Yoopers! What is the weather like around the third week of March, Marquette area? Will the Lake still be frozen? Will there still be snow in the woods?

longwinters:
There isn't much snow up there now.  Course tomorrow that might change.  Typically in March we get a blizzard or two, but the snow is on the run.  Typically there will be at least some snow in the woods.

There isn't much up there now, but tomorrow that may change.  Snow fall depends somewhat on if the lake freezes over or not.  And yes, there probably will be at least some snow in the woods.  March is usually good for at least one blizzard if not several.

RevJim:
I suppose the highway department is good about plowing the roads, etc when that happens? I don't want to get snowed in, just a four day hunt for those Raging Russians.

longwinters:
They've been moving snow up there for a few years  ;D   I can promise nobody moves snow any better than the city and county up there.
