help me get rid of yotes please!

Dave223:
Last year i got on a deer lease in Miss.  I brought my wife on her first hunt late in the year. As it was getting dark and we were coming off stand, the coyotes started going crazy all around us. It was so bad and so close that I had to get my wife off of her stand and walk her in.
I want to get rid of em on the cheap and not hurt our chances of scaring off the deer.  What can I do to call em in (Ive never done this before)?  Im in a heavily wooded area with shooting lanes cut in a circle around the stand, the only sighting I had last year was a passing glance when one crossed a lane.. Help!

fatercat:
get your self 5 doz. treble hooks (big ones) hang them from trees with stout line or wire just out of reach(make them jump off ground) bait with chicken. check twice a day. get ready to sell hides.

Ladobe:
Commercial mouth calls are cheap, as little as $10.   Enclosed reed calls are easier to learn to use well than open reed, but not as versatile as them.   If the ranges you would shoot them at are only out to bout 225 yards, a 17HMR shooting CCI TNT's will get it done reliably and fairly quietly.

ole 5 hole group:
Good luck on your efforts.  You really need to call/hunt/shoot those puppies all year long, as they multiply pretty fast if they have sufficient food in the area.  If you’ve never used a call before, I’d recommend an electronic call, as there’s no learning curve to the device, just a learning curve as to how to properly use the caller.

Coyotes are really difficult to harvest in wooded areas, as you don’t usually see them approaching the call, as they all of a sudden appear and most of the time from a direction that you have to make some adjustment for to get into a shooting position and they just might bust your movement and vanish – all part of the game.

I’m very confident that coyotes won’t attack you or your spouse but their barks can be a little stressful to some but just think of it as Nature’s evening noise and enjoy your evening/hunt.  Your chances of trimming the packs down to size are slim to none by shooting them and only poison will do a good job of that but trapping full time can put a pretty good dent in their population.

mcbammer:
Yotes   get   educated   quick    to   calling   ,  I  would   locate   a   local   trapper   . For   lowering   the   population  quickly.
