Blaming the heavy trigger for greater than MOA groups from my Handi I was looking for an easy way to lighten the trigger.I tried the pushing on the hammer While pulling the trigger repeatedly with no noticeable difference.(no trigger pull guage)Then read something about using powdered graphite and tried that.Now that made a noticeable difference.Let's go shoot it and see what happens!Aw shucks........no change in grouping.Now I think I know why.Groups are in the 1.5" to 2"range.Shooting with bags under stock and frame just in front of trigger guard the rifle is held snug enough that the trigger pull weight just isn't enough to effect group size.Now wishing I'd fired some groups from field positions before making changes so I can compare before and after.Now we need a new Handi to start over with.
