Default Makarov rear sight

Mine shoots about 2" left at 50'. It is my understanding the rear sight is dovetailed and it appears to be but I cannot budge mine with a hammer and punch. Currently soaking it in some penetrating oil. Am I missing anything here?

its possible there could be some loktite or something in play, never worked on a Makarov but have worked on some dovetailed sights. Maybe try touching the tip of a soldering iron to the rear sight itself. It could also be that its just super tight without any adhesive. Put the slide in a padded vice and hit it with the punch and hammer alot harder than you thought you'd need to....good luck
