Default Something new is coming

In about 10 days I'll be able to do paperwork on a Mauser Broomhandle with a large ring hammer and
Von Lengerke & Detmold stamped on the left side of the receiver. It is in 7.63 Mauser. I'm looking
forward to taking it to the range and making some noise.

Those are cool! Good find!

When the old neighbor lady that used to live across the street moved to assisted living she decided it was time to part with her departed husbands guns. "Just a couple of old pistols," she said. She told me that one was a Colt 45 but didn't know what the other was. I said any Colt 45 is worth $500+ regardless of condition. Upon unfolding them out of oily rags I disclosed that one was a broom handle mauser and the other an original 1911 A1 Colt 45 with lanyard ring. Her kind hearted nephew was going to "Take them off her hands for $500 for the pair."

I took them to where I knew I could get the most for them and boy was she happy when I handed her 25 bills with Franklin's mug on them!

You're a good man GPA, WAY TOO MANY people will take unfair advantage of a widow.
Proud of you, my brother in Christ.

That was a good deed GPA. These days a pristine WWII 1911A1 would go for $2000+ and the Broomhandle for $1500+ here in Northern California.

State of the art "assault pistol" back in it's day! I've never fired one, but it looks like fun.

I've always bern somewhat enamored of the broomhandles. Never owned one, but always wanted one. Missed my opportunity back when they were still cheap.
Worked on a couple, fired a couple.

I've had the pleasure of shooting one and I was impressed. The cool/sexiness with the holster/stock put it on my want list.

Tomorrow the 10 day waiting period will end and I can pick up the large ring hammer, VL&D, Broomhandle Mauser I bought on Gunbroker.
When I went in to do the paperwork, the store owner had just put out an Interarms PPK/S .380 that was on
consignment. I bought it, did the paperwork on it and will bring it home, too.
Crazy laws. I can only do paperwork on a special order or auction handgun once every 30 days; but, I can
buy all the consignment or private party sale handguns I want.
