Default I'm through with Handi rifles....... or.... am I?

Sold the last of a dozen (?) Handi Rifles a few years ago. Loved them, killed deer with them, had several switch barrels.
Thought I was through with them......
..... picking up a 444 palet wood heavy barrel, scope base only H&R this afternoon.
Guess I was wrong.... : )

It's an addiction that's as tough to break as heroin.

Funny how that works, isn't it ! I am at a point where my serious hunting is being reduced, and I plan on soon
distributing most of my guns among my grandkids. I do have an NEF Versapak with a .22 LR and a 20 ga barrels.

It only took me owning one Handi to be done with them for life. Guess I had an allergic reaction so no addition problem here.

I must have same affliction, heard all these great things about them so I picked one up once, set it back down and have never considered one again.

I think most of us that love them so much have more experience with older versions. Personally I only have 2 that were made after 2008, and they are not as impressive, although they do shoot well with no issues. The matte finish and plain stock lack something to be desired. Both of these rifles were "pre-owned, so maybe someone else worked out the kinks? Maybe they never had any kinks, like every other Handi-Rifle I have had experience with. ???

I have a NEF/H&R 45-70 Shikari rifle, made in 1981. I believe this was the predecessor to the Handi rifle, I could be wrong. I love the thing, extremely accurate and fun to shoot. I also have an H&R 20 gauge, my Remington 12 gage 870 is now collecting dust.
