Sounds like a pretty good deal, although I'm not familiar with the seller.

Tom i got rounds from reeds before. the ssp are no longer in stock, they do have 180hawk in stock at about that price. i got some 158gr, spossed to be soft point, they were hollow points. i am hoping these are good deer rounds, if so i don't think i can get into reloading that cheap.

That bullet looks a bit like the Speer 180gr HCFN. The price is right.

Thanks, Dinny

The Speer bullet may be a bit hard for good terminal performance depending on the MV from a rifle barrel and placement on deer, it's a 35 Rem bullet, shouldn't be a problem at shorter ranges tho, the Hornady SSP was a perfect bullet for the Maxi, it's a real shame it was discontinued.

ya dinny and Tim you may be right on that. they say 1900 from a 14" barrel. idk what it would be from an 18? 2100 maybe? just a guess. like you said dinny the price was right! at least i'll see how they group and get in some shooting time lol. if i can remember a camera i'll post a pic of the best group.

Shoot bones and that bullet will work quite well. Miss and put it through the lungs and you may be trailing a deer for a while.

Thanks, Dinny

should work fine on paper or neck shots at 30yards.
