when i was i germany in the earliy 80s us army, most folks thier deepdown dislike us gi's saying we where a occupying force so its all about perspective correct..

I was there in the mid 1960s, and most were very receptive, except when up ear the iron curtain. I even had a couple than me as a GI for being there, because if we weren't there,the Russians would be.

..But sutuations change and politics changes..

In 1965, I was selected to attend the 7th Army Non-commissioned Oficer's Academy at Bad Tolz. Flint Kasern at Bad Tolz, was Germany's equivalent to our West Point, before and during WW2.

The 7th Army decided it would be a good school for us. For anyone who studied there, here's "memory video"..
