All I'm seein these days is "political speculation".
Ya see all this crap on the news, then everybody here gets fired up, starts "maybe'n, and what if'n", and it just never seems to come to fruition.
Ya continually stay on the edge of your seat waitin, and then all of a sudden, BOOM!
Ya get nuthin, but another potential letdown".

The way the lame stream media has beat up on this president has forced me to turn them off.....so yes, I'm burned out on politics too.....

Remember the Huntley- Brinkley report when we got news and no conjecture or speculation? The closest thing that I can find now is the 6:30 ABC news....the other stuff my cat can have just as much credence as the talking heads. Even Fox is getting to the point where I can't watch it anymore. CNN has been horrible for years.....

Thats true even on this site. We could do with no discussion of politics (of any kind) on this site as well.

Sadly it seems to be the lifeline of this site though.

I try to stay in it here on GBO however the page has declined so much
I feel if I donít post political itís time to move on.
I do believe the new ownership has caused so many to leave that there
just isnít much discussion left at all.

I'm with you, Dee. There's not a single politician I would trust as far as I could throw them with the exception of President Trump/

It must be an age thing with me. I'm burned out on a lot of things but politics is right at the top of my list. I guess part of that is because my vote is totally worthless. Consertatives in this state are overwhelmed by liberals and most are seriously clueless about how the world around them functions. They fit in perfectly with AOC.All pie in the sky with no clue to what it costs or how it's to be paid for.

If politics isn't allowed on this forum it will probably fold. There seems to be very little going on in the rest of the place.

4 news networks selling ad space 24 hours a day. Innuendo is as good as news when filling time.

10 minutes of news reporting, 20 minutes of opinion, 10 minutes of arguing and 20minutes of commercials.

Well, my whole point was, and is that, politicians huff, and puff, but don't blow anyone's house down.
The news media "speculates" on what may, or may not have been said, and what may, or may not happen, and the public, as demonstrated here, feed on the confusion resulting in hours of their own speculation, argument.
