Default A pretty rare event here

We had a murder. A 19 year old and his girlfriend had an argument and she got out of his truck and started walking home. He ran over her, turned around and ran over her again. Heís caught and in jail with no bond and charged with premeditated murder. Heís toast as someone got it all on video.

If the perp were in letís say Honduras we wouldnít be having this discussion, in that scenario I guess it does matter. If itís imply a question of dead by auto I guess it wouldnít.

Iíll assume itís an illegal immigrant due to the lack of disqualifying info.

We don't really need a link. That's a bridge too far. Let your imagination take it far a change. Let the dead lie in peace. Poor girl. RIP.

If they don't mention race, the perp isn't white but the victim probably is.

no prejudice here!! Why would you even think it was an illegal?? Or for that matter a black. You all know they cant release names and any specifics till the initial investigation is done. Id guess up here anyway if a cop released that info to the press hed be looking for a new job. Bottom line is the most covered up crimes and the crimes most kept out of the paper are crimes wealthy white people commit. Ask the Clintons, Kennedys and Johnsons! Now I look at this story and what do I see? The perp was obviously here long enough to have a girlfriend, had a truck so obviously had a job here long enough to buy one. Now it was a truck, not a low rider 63 impala or an escalade with spinners! Had a 19 year old girlfriend so he lived here long enough to find a girlfriends that HAD A HOME to walk back to! What part of that screams illegal immigrant or black????? That's sure some odd detective work!!! Then some of you even want to watch it!!!! unbelievable. So tell me is it a worse crime or will the parents hurt more if it was a Mexican that did it???????

From the info in the OP all we know is a female was killed by a male driving a truck. We don't know if it was his truck or someone else's. Don't know if the girlfriend was someone he met a few days ago or a few years ago - depends on the reporter's definition of "girlfriend". Don't know the race or either one, or the citizenship of either one.

One, or both, could be illegals. One or both could be US citizens. One or both could be LEGAL immigrants. We don't know how long it has been since it happened. Long enough for next of kin to be notified? Long enough for a followup story to be published? Long enough for the police to complete the investigation and release details? Right now we don't know any of that.

And it's certainly not unusual for a local murder not to make national news, or even a big splash on local news - things like this occur someplace every day and are not "newsworthy".

I think I'll just wait and see.

Absolutely insensitive !

If murder is committed by anyone with illegal criminal record(s) and
is deemed preventable, the parents and loved-ones of the victim would be hurting even more !
