The answer used to be. Two liberals.
Now the answer would be a liberal teacher.

A leftist is worse than a liberal.

Liberals say they respect the truth. They may not agree with your definition of the truth but they place high value on what they consider to be true.

Leftists place no value whatsoever on being truthful. The ends justify the means to get what they desire, which is abolute power and control.

Therein lies the problem. I always seem to only hear from and speak to what you and others would call a leftist. So where are these liberals? Liberal means giving freedom. The ones I run across only want to freely take from others to give to those that choose to sit on their fat arses. To me that is extortion.

I know a lot of liberals who are very nice people and well meaning. They know where I stand but they choose to be my friend anyway. Same here as to my choice to be their friend. Many of them were raised with their beliefs and politics. These beliefs could be considered traditional to their families. They grew up with this type of indoctrination and are not socialist progressive as the democratic party is now trending. I'm pretty sure they won't be voting for Bernie. We all need to first have a friendly relationship with someone if we have any hope of being a positive influence.

The way I see it is that liberals are all that is wrong with this country and are actively making it worse. Therefore I have a real problem with their opinion.

The problem is that there are liberals that would use your statement Mule but with conservative inserted instead of liberal. As long as there are a sizable group thinking that way on both ends we are doomed. Need to really, really work at getting along and be will to compromise and find mutual bases to work from.
Also for Mule, just because you are a staunch conservative doesn't mean you have to be a A&#hole.

Is calling someone an a&#hole the first step in compromise? That's the game the left plays. We have been called deplorables that live in flyover states. Maybe us flyover states should let the rest of the country feed themselves. The big cities have been controlled by the left wing for years and have already suffered from socialist ideologies. If an apocalypse happens it won't be us deplorables in the fly over states rushing to the big cities looking for aid. It will be the leftists coming to us and we will simply circle the wagons. Mule11 can park his wagon next to mine anytime!

If you have followed Mule's post on various threads referring to me in not so kind of ways at times that type of person needs to be called out. I am quite sure there are others here that feel as strong as Mule concerning my politics. They may make some jabs at times but usually nothing more than that.
If you have followed my history of posting over multiple years here you will be hard pressed to find me getting down and dirty. Mule just wants to come across as the school yard bully and as such needs to be IDed as one. It is not always a one way street. If he wanted I would still sit down to coffee or a beer with him as long as he remains civil.

Humm. I've never had a problem with Guzzi.

Therein lies the problem. The lie. You know the one where you have to pretend that they are Americans with American values. The ones you swear an allegiance too...

I personally don't agree with guzzi on much of anything political, but he does have good taste in firearms, especially old time singleshot varmint rigs. Even invited him out here to shoot prairie dogs sometime. As long as we lea e politics out of the conversation.
I still would like to take you up on that, I need to set aside a date or it won't happen. Also, much appreciate the gesture.

Problem with liberalism is have a look at the current crop of candidates for the democratic party and try if you can to see their point. I can't. Sorry their ideas and wants just don't make sense to me. From a gay guy to a communist to a flip flop to two crazy women and your old hold over Obama guy Biden what do you think a sane person thinks of liberal ideas. If a person has the guts to embrace these people and ideas they dang sure better be prepared for criticism. If you can't take the heat as good ole Lloyd says by all means stay out of the kitchen.

Even if these same libs don’t vote for the crazy crew of presidential candidates they will be voting pretty much across the board for all the other democrats that they can. Therein turning our country into a s.ithole...

i thank teachers for my being able

to read and write.

I believe they should NOT bring politics or religion or their personal beliefs into the classroom with them, though. schools should teach ONLY reading writing and math up to and including 12th grade after that, if they want to attend higher schooling, let them pay for it and attend the school of their choice...

I agree that teachers need to try to stay neutral as possible but tell me how can you teach history or civics without politics and religion? Most of history surrounds those two things.

I can't remember a teacher in any school I ever attended that said anything political--not even in college and not even in civics classes. They all managed to keep their personal views to themselves. That was all a long time ago when common sense was still common.

dcw did not mention history or civics. ONLY reading writing and math up to and including 12th grade. A little reading comprehension may be in order. From my experience with teachers. Many lack in that area.

I comprehended dcw and the reason I replied the way I did is that I was surprised someone would be suggesting (although not specifically stated) that no history or civics should be taught through grade 12. Plus at this time all states require history and civics to graduate. dcw is able to respond to my post if I took it wrong or he wished to clarify. Don't think he needs your snarky assistance.
