Default Humming Birds ?

Well this is the first time in a number of years that I have had out the feeders. Several years ago when my wife was alive she would say we need to put out the feeders as they are here looking in the kitchen window. Every year when they showed up they came to look in the kitchen window and I would put out the feeders. I don't know how many we were feeding but I had out 4 quart feeders and I filled them in the morning and then refilled in the evening, we were going through 10 to 15 lbs. of sugar a week. Has anyone seen any yet this year they usually migrate north in the spring and leave around the last of September. Here in Oklahoma they like for us to remove feeders around the 20th of September. We have had some very bad storms so that could have pushed them back south

We have some every year but not yet this year. They are entertaining to watch.

We do have a pair of wrens in the wren house already. I like to hear them as well.

It's funny how all of the stuff that used to pass us by when we were younger now fill a void!

They've been back in middle Wisconsin for more than a week. We put out oriole feeders first and keep an eye out when the hummers start nosing around them.

We've been feeding hummers year round for over 30yrs, they're always around, even when it gets cold, they just show up later in the day when it freezes overnight. I run an incandescent bulb below the feeders to keep the feeders from freezing so they always have a food source.

Our first one showed up about the last week of March or first week of April. We have a few now but not a lot.

We've had 'em for about 3 weeks now but they don't come around to feed on a regular/consistent basis.
